Ikano Centres elevates Natasha Aziz to lead CX and digital

IKEA Southeast Asia’s shopping centre arm, Ikano Centres, has promoted marketing manager Natasha Aziz (pictured) to head of customer experience and digital (shopping centres) based in Malaysia. She joined Ikano Centres in 2019 from Entropia Blanc where she was head of integrated brand experiences. A+M understands Aziz takes over former head of marketing Andrew Yeoh, who left in April to join TIME dotCom as head of marketing. He previously spent five years with the brand.
Prior to that, she was with FCB Malaysia for more than five years, last helming the role of head of account management. Aziz also took on the roles of account director and senior account manager. Additionally, she previously worked at OgilvyAction, Jones Knowles Ritchie and Pi global. In these roles, Aziz handled clients such as Unilever, Mondelez, and Beiersdorf, among others. Aziz declined to comment on A+M's queries.
IKEA recently appointed PHD to manage media duties across Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Ikano Centres, which also called for a pitch at the same time earlier this year, will likewise be working with PHD in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Ikano Centres is also in the midst of developing the next phase of its Batu Kawan store and has brought onboard Dragon Rouge to handle branding duties. The Batu Kawan store first opened in 2019 and this new phase comprises a shopping centre offering a retail mix of F&B, fashion and beauty, as well as home and living, among others.
For this year's Raya, the Ikano Centres team put together an out of the world campaign titled "Raya Kau Kaw Kaw", which featured a mix of cowboys, astronauts, rockstars, and teleportation skills. In the film, Mak Jemah pushes herself to the limits to make this Raya the very best by immersing herself in festive preparations and celebrations, despite the absence of her children. In the process, they connect with her through time and space for the ultimate Raya celebrations.
