Andrew Yeoh is moving on from his role as IKEA Southeast Asia's head of marketing and innovation (shopping centre) to join TIME dotCom as head of marketing. Yeoh (pictured) told A+M that he is thoroughly grateful for the privilege of leading the shopping centre marketing team at IKEA Southeast Asia these past five years. "I have been entrusted to launch and develop world-class brands but more importantly build a world-class team, which I trust fully to bring the shopping centre business to the next level," he added.

According to Yeoh, he is thrilled to be joining a fast-growing industry and bold company. He explained that he is especially drawn to TIME’s quick, can-do mindset and will strive to embody its mantra of doing things right for customers, partners, employees and shareholders. Grace Chan was previously TIME dotCom's head of brand marketing.

Before joining IKEA Southeast Asia in 2016, Yeoh was Naga DDB Tribal's head of strategy for more than two years, according to his LinkedIn. Prior to that, he was Isobar's strategy director based in Melbourne for more than a year.

Yeoh also worked at Interbrand for more than three years, last helming the role of associate director of strategy, and was also strategic planner at Rapp Collins. In addition to agency experience, Yeoh also helmed leadership roles on the client-side. According to his LinkedIn, he was the key account manager at P&G overseeing hair care and beauty products for one of its largest global clients, Carrefour. His LinkedIn added that Yeoh delivered the highest-ever monthly sales revenue and shipment volumes in the hair care category in Carrefour’s history.

Before that, he was with IBM for more than two years, joining as a trainee under the IBM TeamBlue management trainee programme and rising to the ranks of marketing management specialist and volume marketing manager.

Separately, IKEA and Ikano Centres, the shopping centre arm anchored by IKEA Southeast Asia, are in the midst of appointing their media agencies. Both units called for separate media pitches earlier this year, with IKEA's pitch covering Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, while Ikano Centres' covered Malaysia.
