Carsome Thailand has partnered with Thailand's OR's FIT Auto service centre to let Carsome customers use OR'S FIT Auto service centre for car inspection to assess the car selling price and car maintenance services. For the initial phase of the partnership, OR and Carsome jointly selected five FIT Auto service centres. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Carsome with further inquiries.

“This cooperation between OR and Carsome is to facilitate the customers of Carsome who come to use the service at the FIT Auto automotive service centre to check the condition and evaluate the price of used cars. This includes car maintenance services as well as transferring knowledge about servicing and assessing the condition of used cars to employees in the service centre to become proficient. Not only that, but the partnership also strengthens between Carsome and FIT Auto, whether it is the issuance of campaigns, or various promotions such as the creation of gift vouchers, gift certificates or special discounts, which are suitable to give to FIT Auto and Carsome customers,” Paisan Udomkulvanich senior executive vice president, PTT Oil and OR explained.

“Carsome is a company that specialises in inspecting used cars and as an eCommerce platform for customers to buy-sell used cars through the largest online channel in Southeast Asia. Carsome takes this opportunity to declare the company's clear intentions and aims that, it will push the standards by building trust and transparency in our products and services, one-stop,” Siwaphum Lertsansaran, managing director of Carsome Thailand added.

Those who wish to make an appointment for a car inspection to assess the selling price at these branches of FIT Auto automotive service centre can make an appointment via Carsome. In addition, there is also a plan to expand the number of branches that support such services in the future.

In May this year, Carsome Group bagged US$290 million in a Series E round of funding. The funds, which bring the company’s valuation to approximately US$1.7 billion, will be used to accelerate the company's investment in people, product, technology, data capability, infrastructure, and regional expansion of its retail brand, Carsome Certified, across key markets in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

In addition, in September 2021, the company opened at least seven B2C retail centres known as Carsome Experience Centers across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
