Carsome opened its first experience centre in East Java. The launch of Malang experience centre further strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to Indonesia to support the growth of the country’s used car market which is expected to reach more than IDR1 trillion by 2027. The new experience centre is touted to expand Carsome’s end-to-end ecosystem in Indonesia to ensure a seamless experience throughout the automotive ownership journey. Previously, the company opened experience centres in Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang, Depok and Bandung.

“We are very grateful and excited to be able to expand our presence in Indonesia by opening our 10th Carsome experience centre in Malang, East Java. This launch further highlights our strong commitment to Indonesia and our commitment to Indonesian consumers as we continue to innovate to deliver the most trusted and transparent experience of buying and selling used cars to more people in this country,” Andrew Mawikere, CEO Carsome Indonesia said.

"East Java is among the top three Indonesian provinces with the highest number of cars in use, after West Java and DKI Jakarta. Hence, we consider East Java an important market for Carsome's business strategies and we look forward to bringing our guaranteed quality Carsome Certified cars to more consumers in this province," Donald Rachmat, general manager of CARSOME Certified Indonesia said.

The launch of Malang Experience Center was marked by a series of consumer activities, including an exhibition at Malang Town Square and in-store activities. Recently, Carsome Indonesia launched a new campaign CARSOME x Eric Cantona in Indonesia. As part of the campaign, motorbike riders will be dressed in Carsome Indonesia's yellow brand colour to maximise reach to pedestrians. Carsome did not share the cost associated with the campaign.

The main objective was to drive awareness and reach for the #CantonaCertified way of selling and buying cars in the Indonesian market. The campaign is in line with Carsome’s unyielding efforts in elevating the car ownership experience and emerging as the trusted platform for buying or selling a car and delivering trust, transparency and choice to customers. The campaign also aims to highlight Carsome’s sales programme and Carsome Certified cars to untapped offline consumers.
