Though there has been no official statement to the effect, US-based coffee roaster and retailer Blue Bottle Coffee seems to have tipped its hand to having expansion plans for Hong Kong.
On its official website, Blue Bottle Coffee has listed it is recruiting two positions for Hong Kong.
Firstly, a brand experience manager, who will be assisting with content generation, and working with internal teams to ensure all written communication, which will be translating into Chinese, and imagery is consistent and in line with key brand message and social brand strategy.
Secondly, a director of operations, who will be partnering with the brand’s international leadership team to support the opening in Hong Kong and develop cafe strategies and operation models.
This strongly suggests that Blue Bottle Coffee and its parent company Nestlé will soon open a store in Hong Kong. An official launch date for Blue Bottle Hong Kong has yet to be announced for sure, but it seems likely one is on the way.
