Sheila Shanmugam is departing WPP Media Malaysia after five years as CEO of Mindshare Group Malaysia.
Shanmugam took on the group CEO role in October 2021, overseeing Mindshare, m/SIX, OPENMIND and NEO. Her remit included setting the strategic direction for the businesses, driving growth and strengthening relationships with clients and partners.
She stepped into the role following a restructuring of Mindshare Group Malaysia under a single leadership structure, with the agencies retaining distinct strategies while working from a shared focus on core, content, commerce and consulting. At the time, Shanmugam said her focus would be on driving integration, building new services and creating value for clients, partners and talent.
