WPP Media APAC chief client officer departs

Sindhuja Rai, chief client officer, APAC at WPP Media, is set to leave the business next month after more than three years at the agency.
A WPP Media spokesperson confirmed Rai’s departure to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, saying: “Rai will be leaving the business next month. We’re grateful for her contributions during her time with us and wish her all the very best for what’s next."
The spokesperson also confirmed that there is no significant restructure underway following her departure.

Rai took on the chief client officer, APAC role in June 2025, following the launch of WPP Media and a restructuring of its regional leadership. In the role, she was responsible for elevating client service across the region and overseeing global and regional accounts, while leading the client solutions team in Singapore.
Prior to this, Rai served as CEO of Wavemaker APAC from September 2023 to June 2025. She also held a regional client leadership role at WPP Media between October 2024 and June 2025.
Rai joined WPP after 13 years at Mondelēz International, where she most recently served as senior director, global media investment and AMEA consumer experience. She previously held regional roles spanning media, data, digital and consumer engagement across APAC, the Middle East and Africa.
She has more than 25 years of experience across agency and client-side roles. Her next move has not been publicly announced.
Her departure comes amid a series of senior leadership moves across WPP Media's regional business. In Malaysia, former Carat Malaysia partner and head Vanitha Selvathurai recently joined WPP Media as vice president, clients, taking on a role focused on strengthening client leadership and partnerships.
In Hong Kong, WPP Media Hong Kong appointed Adrian Lee in the newly created role of chief client and operating officer. Reporting to Michael Beecroft, CEO, WPP Media North East Asia, and alongside Silas Ho, Lee will be responsible for strengthening client leadership while driving operational excellence across the Hong Kong business.
Elsewhere in APAC, former WPP Media CEO for Singapore and Malaysia and head of media management and delivery for APMEA Arshan Saha recently joined Aleph as regional managing director, APAC. Saha's remit includes overseeing operations across 15 markets and strengthening platform partnerships across the region.
