Vivo has partnered with the first virtual human in Asia, Imma, to explore nights through the lens of vivo V25 Series 5G, a smartphone series that enables users to shine through the night light. While vivo declined to disclose the monetary value of this partnership, the brand told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that it hopes to build a long partnership with Imma to generate buzz and excitement around the upcoming launch of the V25 Series 5G.

Imma brings consumers on a journey to explore the vibrant streets and landmarks of countries and regions around Southeast Asia. She was chosen amongst all other virtual influencers because she reflects the phone's profile of 5G users - young and vibrant who seek to capture their moments and have a sense of individualism amongst their peers.

Imma and vivo will be on tour to search for the night moments in six Southeast Asia cities, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia, where youths light up the night with their personality and creativity.

As part of vivo's marketing strategy, it has rolled out pre-orders and is publicising the new phone through its social media channels. It is also working with renowned tech media in Singapore to offer unbiased opinions of its products to loyal customers and potential buyers. The vivo V25 Series 5G will also be featured with Singaporean artiste Apple Chan but the brand declined to reveal more.

Liu Hong Bin, CEO of vivo Singapore said through the lens of imma and vivo V25 Series 5G, which saw some major upgrades in its imaging capabilities, vivo hopes its users can appreciate and embrace the magical power of the night and immerse themselves in their picture-perfect nights. We are excited to team up with imma for the launch of the vivo V25 Series 5G. Her curiosity, vitality and young personality personify the latest addition to our V Series of smartphones, which is built to amplify the fun in our everyday moments." Liu said.

“It's been a fun experience to work with vivo as the virtual ambassador of vivo V25 Series 5G," Imma said. According to her, she has always been interested in and motivated by innovative adventures to discover brand-new things, which she think is exactly the way to describe the journey to Southeast Asia this time. With V25 Series 5G, I’m able to capture and keep all the vivid memories that I have had with my new friends and encounters,” Imma added.

Separately, vivo's marketing efforts for its vivo X50 campaign paid off, winning it the bronze award at A+M's MARKies Awards 2021. Meanwhile, two years ago, the team in Malaysia wanted to redefine what smartphone photography meant with its new visual storytelling campaign. Together with VMLY&R Malaysia, the campaign used the photos and videos taken by popular Malaysian celebrities and influencers to showcase the new vivo X50 and x50 Pro smartphones highlighting new features such as the smartphone's built-in gimbal camera.
