Malaysian creative agency Naga DDB Tribal has partnered up with artificial intelligence (AI) technology company Replyr.ai, to reinforce its commitment to delivering innovation that elevates branding, marketing, and human connection.

The partnership is part of Naga DDB Tribal’s broader vision to embrace transformative technologies that drive real impact for clients, the agency said in a statement. It added that by combining world-class creativity with advanced AI capabilities, Naga DDB Tribal and Replyr.ai aim to develop integrated solutions that enhance brand performance, customer experience, and community engagement.

Replyr.ai is an AI-powered platform which helps businesses convert leads into customers on WhatsApp by deploying AI agents which can dynamically interact with customers and connect with other business tools. It aims to automate customer interactions, manage workflows, and enhance customer experience by providing personalised, timely, and tailored follow-ups, all while adhering to WhatsApp Business API rules.

The WhatsApp AI is also able to plan AI strategies together with its clients, by defining their goals, behaviour, escalation rules and key workflows, so that every conversation is able to drive results. Replyr.ai will also stay on retainer to monitor their clients' performance, to make adjustments and upgrade their AI as needed.

"We believe AI is most powerful when it amplifies human creativity. Partnering with Naga DDB Tribal allows us to push boundaries together — building solutions that not only strengthen brands but also enrich the lives of the people they serve," said Dylan Tan, founder of Replyr.ai.

"At Naga DDB Tribal, we are constantly seeking out opportunities to innovate with purpose. Our partnership with Replyr.ai is a natural next step in our ambition to help brands navigate the evolving digital landscape, with intelligence, imagination, and impact," said Kristian Lee, executive director of Naga DDB Tribal.

"AI is not just about efficiency or automation. Applied thoughtfully, it can create ideas that move people, foster connections, and make a meaningful difference to communities. That’s the kind of impact we want to make," added Alvin Teoh, chief creative officer of Naga DDB Tribal.

Recently, agencies across the region have been banking big on AI for their digital transformations. According to a VML Enterprise Solutions report launched earlier this month, 60% of survey respondents cited AI as being a key area of focus for digital transformation projects.

This is especially since the new technology opens up unmissable opportunities for making digital change bigger and better. In fact, 78% of transformers believe that their businesses' ability to effectively run and deliver digital transformation projects will improve with AI.

Earlier this year, OOH advertising technology developer Broadsign unveiled a preview of an AI-powered creative categorisation and approval feature coming to its platform later this year. The Broadsign AI assistant is a tool designed to reduce the time media owners spend on repetitive tasks such as reviewing, categorising, and approving incoming ad creative from programmatic bids sent via demand-side platforms (DSP).

In March, Publicis Groupe announced that it was to acquire global identity and data solutions company Lotame as it unveiled its new AI strategy. With the acquisition, Publicis aimed to improve the use of artificial intelligence on its CoreAI platform, which requires quality information in order to be effective.

Meanwhile, social creative agency We Are Social announced this month that it acquired creative production and innovation studio HELO, to bolster its AI-powered creative and production, according to Adweek
