McCann gives SEA creative market remit to Mark Ringer

McCann Worldgroup has expanded the remit for Mark Ringer to take on the Southeast Asia creative market as ECD. According to Ringer’s LinkedIn profile, he was last double-hatting as regional creative director for Mastercard for the Asia Pacific market and ECD for McCann Worldgroup, Singapore.
In a statement to Marketing, a spokesperson said this new role is an extension of Ringer's regional Mastercard role. The spokesperson added that Ringer will be reporting to Nick Handel, president, Southeast Asia, McCann Worldgroup, in this newly-created role.

Prior to his role with McCann, Ringer was with Dentsu as creative director for over a year. He has also worked in markets such as Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and London, for well known agencies including TBWA, DDB, FCB and many others.

On his earlier appointment, Ringer said, “I am thrilled to join McCann. There are rich veins of talent and opportunity I will be looking to develop and build upon.”

Meanwhile in December last year, McCann Worldgroup in Indonesia and FCB Global unveiled a new legal ownership structure, under the entity Digital SEA Indonesia. Digital SEA Indonesia will retain relationships with both global networks as an affiliate. The agencies will co-locate and share back-office services, while maintaining the independence of each network. Under this arrangement, both McCann Worldgroup and FCB networks will continue as independent brands, servicing their respective clients.

In a statement to Marketing Interactive, a spokesperson said that this shift will help the operation to better tap into local expertise, talent and creativity, leveraging FCB Global and McCann Worldgroup’s integrated creative and strategic capabilities.
