Starbucks has released Holiday Blend, its first global holiday album in over a decade. Launched on 4 November via Interscope Records and Universal Music Group, the project features new recordings from both established and rising artists across pop, soul, Americana, amongst others.
The tracklist features fresh takes on seasonal classics - including “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Soulful Christmas,” and “Happy Holidays” - by Magnus Ferrell, Coco Jones, TRÍADA, Brandi Carlile, The Womack Sisters, and Leon Thomas. The compilation also debuts an original holiday track created for the album by JYT.
Music has long been central to the Starbucks coffeehouse experience, spanning curated playlists, CD compilations, and digital downloads. Holiday Blend builds on that legacy, serving as a key element of the brand's global in-store soundtrack while streaming on all major digital platforms.
The musical rollout accompanies Starbucks' broader seasonal menu and merchandise launch, featuring returning favorites such as the Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Chai alongside new festive offerings.
“Music has always been part of the Starbucks experience, and we are building on that legacy in a way that feels fresh for today,” said Erin Silvoy, senior vice president, global marketing & channel development. “‘Holiday Blend’ brings together incredible artists to put their own spin on songs we all know and love. My hope is that it becomes part of the soundtrack to the season, creating a little more joy and connection whether you’re in a Starbucks coffeehouse or wherever the holidays take you.”
Magnus Ferrell said, “Being a part of Starbucks Holiday Blend album felt like a chance to make something that’s both new and nostalgic. I grew up hearing these songs, so getting to record them in my own way was a pretty special experience.”
Coco Jones said, “It’s so special to be part of Starbucks Holiday Blend album. I was honoured and excited to put my own spin on such a beloved holiday classic, and I hope my version brings a little extra joy to people’s celebrations this season.”
This holiday season, Starbucks is bringing people together through the tastes, sounds and traditions that make the season special. From returning favorites like Peppermint Mocha and Gingerbread Chai to festive new beverages and merchandise, Starbucks is creating more ways to gather, connect and share a little joy all season long.
