Impact investment and advisory firm Mana Impact has partnered with Reputation Works to create a one-stop shop impact investment services. Mana Impact said it helps clients' direct investments towards positive social and environmental projects and businesses across Asia, while Reputation Works specialises in purpose-driven communications. The partnership will enable companies to build their reputations and create clear business value.

Singapore-based Mana Impact was founded in 2017 as an impact investment firm that works with its clients to co-create investment strategies that focus on early-stage businesses driving circular and regenerative systems, specifically ocean health and food and agriculture. Reputation Works was founded in 2021 with the aim of helping businesses and business leaders identify how they can better support the communities in which they operate, and use these stories to drive employee engagement, customer acquisition and financial growth.

The partnership will provide clients with six key components that they need to create an investment strategy and portfolio that carries real-world impact. For example, the agencies will use extensive sector knowledge combined with desk research to help clients source deals, offering an array of opportunities presented to them. After the deals have been chosen, due diligence, careful financial and impact analysis will be conducted to ensure the investment is a good fit with the client’s financial and impact goals.

The agencies will also help clients conduct stakeholder communications, engaging with both internal and external groups to ensure they understand the investment and the benefits for both parties. They will also manage the investment portfolio to ensure that financial and impact targets are achieved. Moreover, the partnership will help organisations monitor, measure and manage ESG and impact indicators and then create impactful reports that help all stakeholders see the benefits.

“We work hand-in-hand with our clients to identify and manage investments that support a more circular, regenerative economy so there is a balance between people, planet and profit. We are creating a community of like-minded investors to support purpose-driven businesses and in the process make a real impact on a whole range of the United Nations sustainable development goals," said Chu.

Speaking of the partnership, Mark Jackson, managing director of reputation works said, "COP26 has put real pressure on businesses across the globe to make real and genuine changes to their operations so they can help meet the needs of the planet. This partnership means our clients have access to cutting-edge investment advice so they can make a real and telling contribution to the world in which they operate."
