Traveloka has discontinued its two features, Traveloka Eats and Send.  Traveloka Eats was an online food and beverage ordering feature on Traveloka's application, that was established in 2021. Traveloka Send provides delivery services. According to CNBC Indonesia, the spokesperson said that it will discontinue Traveloka Mart as well.

Traveloka's spokesperson has confirmed to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the discontinuation is part of the company's business priorities and strategy. However, Traveloka is unable to provide further comment to MARKETING-INTERACTIVEThe discontinuation came after Traveloka bagging US$300 million from the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) BlackRock, Orion Capital Asia, Allianz Global Investors and other organisations.

Earlier this year, Traveloka also made a move into the ride-hailing space with the launch of Traveloka QuickRide. Done in collaboration with Indonesian transportation company, Blue Bird, the service is currently available in 16 cities including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Lombok, Manado, Makassar, Padang, and Medan.

According to Traveloka, the Traveloka QuickRide service is based on the increasing consumer need for transportation services within the city that are practical, safe, comfortable, and easily accessible via their mobile phones. The company added that this new product further strengthens its commitment as a technology-based company that provides end-to-end complete solutions for consumers in one application to meet their lifestyle needs, including mobility needs.

Meanwhile, in March this year, Traveloka handed its regional media planning and services to dentsu Malaysia’s iProspect as it positioned itself as a lifestyle superapp. The aency will be responsible for all above the line media planning and buying, across the key markets of Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines, and will also be setting up a regional media strategy hub based out of Kuala Lumpur. This will ensure that the brand delivers a unified strategy with local nuances across these Southeast Asian markets.
