"World Cup" came out on top as the most searched keyword in Malaysia for 2018, according to Google's annual Malaysian Year in Search. This was followed by "SPR", which came in second due to eligible voters checking on their status and the results of this year's watershed General Elections."Astro Awani" made it to the top three by being the go-to news source pre, during and post-General Elections. Meanwhile, the drama series "Lafazkan Kalimah Cintamu", and "The Story of Yanxi Palace" also made it to the top five. Rounding off the list of top 10 searches in Malaysia for 2018 were the keywods "BRIM", "Kekasih Paksa Rela", "Najib", "Jangan Benci Cintaku" and "Mahathir".Meanwhile, the top search in Malaysia for an individual goes to "Najib Razak", followed by "Mahathir Mohamad", "Syed Saddiq" and "Rosmah Mansor".
