Reprise pushes out global eCommerce offering

Reprise has rolled out Reprise Commerce which combines the agency's traditional eCommerce media capabilities with the in-depth retail expertise it has been adding over the past year. The new unit provides clients with a holistic approach to eCommerce, extending beyond marketing into supply chain and operations, and designing strategies and activations with customer experience at the heart.

Reprise Commerce is responsible for designing and executing customer-centric strategies across all stages of the eCommerce journey, including eRetail, supply chain and warehousing, marketplaces and D2C. With over 250 eCommerce experts worldwide, Reprise Commerce will drive the agency's expertise in the eCommerce space.

Reprise Global CEO Dimitri Maex said it has gone on a hiring spree and recruited platform alumni such as Will Margaritis and Ritika Gupta who were previously with Amazon and Lazada, as well as eCommerce agency veterans Todd Bowman and Neilson Hall, who have worked at both retailers and agencies.

"With their teams now in place, Reprise Commerce is able to combine the in-depth retail expertise of a boutique eCommerce agency with the scale and integrated performance marketing capabilities of our global Reprise network. This means our clients get the best of both worlds and no longer have to treat eCommerce as a separate silo," Maex said. He added that this also means the agency can optimise clients' eCommerce investments more effectively between eCommerce platforms and more holistically across digital.

Meanwhile, Gupta who is currently the eCommerce director, Asia Pacific, said it has been onboarding retail expertise across the region. "When you combine this retail capability with our 1000 strong performance media and content teams, powered by the strategic communications planning strength of UM and Initiative, we have a truly compelling solution to help brands grow their eCommerce revenues in Asia Pacific," she said.

This comes a few weeks after Havas Media Group and Omnicom Media Group both launched their eCommerce offerings named Havas Market and Transact respectively. Havas Market is designed to create a more meaningful shopping experience for consumers, allowing them to find products easier and buy more seamlessly. Meanwhile, Transact consults on areas spanning commerce strategy, media, marketplace investment as well as store management, and is backed by eCommerce consultants and omni-channel retail specialists in 25 markets. Separately, Publicis Media also launched its eCommerce offering in 2018 which is currently led by global chief commerce officer Ali Nehme.
