OH!SOME enters the Philippines with dual store launch, eyeing gifting-led growth

Lifestyle retailer OH!SOME has officially entered the Philippine market, opening its first local store at One Ayala, Makati on 31 December, followed by a second outlet in Davao on 25 January. The twin launches mark the brand’s latest step in strengthening its Southeast Asia presence, as it continues to scale its footprint across the region.

Timed around the festive-to-new-year transition, OH!SOME’s arrival positions the brand as a destination for accessible gifting and everyday indulgences. The stores feature a curated assortment of easy-to-gift products, ranging from home décor accents and plush toys to fashion accessories and trend-driven beauty sets - categories that have become central to the brand’s appeal across Asia.

A key draw for Filipino consumers is the introduction of OH!SOME’s global intellectual property collaborations, which form a core pillar of its merchandising strategy. Products featuring Korean designer toy IP ZIZONE are now available locally, with Pingo Cat and its characters appearing across plush toys, phone charms, plush bags and collectible accessories.

The stores also carry merchandise from the anime franchise Spy x Family, alongside Disney IP collections, including a retro-inspired Toy Story range for dining and kitchen essentials and a Zootopia-themed assortment of travel-friendly accessories.

The Philippine launch comes as OH!SOME continues its rapid regional expansion. Entering the new year, the brand operates more than 180 stores across Asia, with an established and growing presence in markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and beyond.

The move into the Philippines signals confidence in the country’s appetite for affordable lifestyle retail that blends global pop culture with everyday utility.

Positioned as a one-stop lifestyle destination under Blue Origin Group, OH!SOME spans categories including IP collaborations, beauty, toys, snacks, beverages, daily necessities, and electronics. As competition in Southeast Asia’s lifestyle retail space intensifies, the brand’s focus on fast-moving trends, licensed collaborations, and giftable formats is shaping its strategy for relevance and scale in diverse local markets.

OH!SOME kicked off 2026 by launching two IP-led collectible card series - Pixar Collectible Cards marking Pixar’s 40th anniversary, and the 1Play × MLBB M7 World Championship 2026 E Series - positioning collectibles as an emotionally driven, experience-led retail play tied to nostalgia and eSports culture. The MLBB collection rolled out from 23 January across Indonesia and Singapore alongside the M7 World Championship and Jakarta’s M7 Carnival, capitalising on heightened fan engagement.
