Najwa Shihab joins Gushcloud's new YouTube network in major creator-ecosystem push

Prominent Indonesian journalist Najwa Shihab has joined Gushcloud Indonesia’s newly launched YouTube creator network, marking a major step in the company’s bid to expand its creator ecosystem and strengthen its position in Indonesia’s digital media landscape.

The initiative follows the group’s global expansion efforts, including its acquisition of multi-channel network (MCN) assets from Paris-based Wizdeo. The MCN service introduces a more structured, growth-driven framework for YouTube talent, covering content strategy, channel management, performance optimisation, and commercial development.

The company said the offering adds a new layer to its legacy creator management business - connecting Indonesian creators to global networks, AI-powered technology, and expanded cross-border collaborations.

Apart from Shihab’s own channel, her journalism ventures Narasi Newsroom and Narasi TV have also formally joined Gushcloud Indonesia’s network, with agreements signed in September, the agency said. The Narasi Group is among the country’s most influential independent digital media voices, strengthening the MCN’s early portfolio and opening doors to new content collaborations.

“The collaboration with Najwa Shihab and the Narasi Group strengthens the initial phase of Gushcloud Indonesia’s network. We want to build an ecosystem that helps creators expand their impact and opportunities, both in Indonesia and globally,” said Fandhi Gautama, channel manager of Gushcloud Indonesia.

Creators joining the MCN can access a suite of commercial and operational benefits, including reserved media YouTube inventory and premium advertising access, global monetisation via Gushcloud’s international network, AI-driven revenue-tracking through Gushcloud’s Bankeble platform, international content collaborations and brand partnership opportunities, and access to Gushcloud’s creator venture programme (CVP) for funding and channel growth support.

Previously, Gushcloud Indonesia added Boy William and Nicky Tirta to its CVP, strengthening its push to support creators with funding, management, and global-scale opportunities. The programme, initiated by Gushcloud International, offers mentorship, cross-border collaborations, and brand-building tools to help creators expand their influence and develop long-term IP.

Gushcloud International also recently announced its expansion into the Middle East and North Africa, establishing a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi through a strategic multi-year partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). The company now operates in 13 markets worldwide, including Australia, Greater China, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, the UAE, the US, and France.

Narasi - founded in 2017 alongside Catharina Davy and Dahlia Citra - has been central to cementing Shihab’s digital legacy, following her rise to prominence in talk shows and television journalism.
