MYTV to suspend Awesome TV channel from platform due to commercial issues

Malaysian broadcasting company, MYTV Broadcasting (MYTV), will be suspending its broadcast of the Awesome TV television channel from 2 November 2023. Awesome TV features local original production and foreign content.

In a statement seen by A+M, MYTV cited commercial issues involving the payment of access fees between MYTV and Awesome TV, despite efforts from both parties to resolve the matter.

“The suspension of Awesome TV is regrettable and we sincerely apologise to our valued viewers for any inconvenience caused,” the statement read.

It assured viewers that MYTV would continue to look for a resolution that would serve the best interest of all involved.

“MYTV remains committed to delivering a wide array of high-quality content through its broadcasting platform, and we will continue to offer our viewers with access to compelling and diverse programming choices,” it added.
