Market research firm Focus Insights continues ASEAN expansion, names new GM

Global market research company Focus Insight will be continuing its expansion and focus on the ASEAN region with the appointment of Sugandha Verma (pictured) as its new general manager. She will be based in Singapore in her new role. 

Verma comes with over 20 years of experience in both research and FMCG companies having previously worked at Coco Cola, Shiseido, Kantar and Nielsen.

Prior to her appointment, Verma was the director of insights in platform services at the Coca-Cola Company. In her role, she partnered multi-function leadership to understand and identify key business opportunities through data and insights.

In 2021, Verma worked with Shiseido for a short stint where she worked with internal stakeholders in brand, sales and EXCOM to deliver insights in the beauty category and provide market intelligence and forecasts of the category and brands.

She has also worked in companies such as Trax Retail, Nielsen NeuroFocus and Worldpanel by Kantar in her extensive career. 

“As we continue to globally expand our services and specialisation in FMCG, CPG, Pharmaceutical and Hardware market research, Verma is the perfect addition to our leadership team," said Deane Hubball, CEO of Focus Insights.
