Telecommunications operator Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has named Kartika Guerrero as its new senior vice president of digital distribution and partnerships, according to a LinkedIn post by Guerrero.

Based in Indonesia, Guerrero joins the company with extensive experience in managing business strategy, customer relationship management, digital strategy, and marketing efforts. She will be reporting to Ritesh Singh, director and chief commercial officer at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.

Speaking on her appointment, Guerrero said that she was beyond thrilled to enter this new role. “Joining a company that is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation, connectivity and shaping the future of Indonesia is a dream,” she said. She is charged to develop and implement a distribution strategy across online and offline channels, ensuring that the company's products and services reach its target market efficiently and effectively for the Indonesian market.

“As I embark on this new journey, I look forward to working alongside some of the brilliant minds in the industry to deliver top notch solutions,” she added.

This is a new role in a newly opened department in the company, according to Guerrero when MAAKRTING-INTERACTIVE reached out.

Prior to her current role, Guerrero was digital and media director for the Southeast Asian region at Fonterra Singapore. She held the role for just over two years. Before that, Guerrero was at Unilever where she also oversaw its digital hub and was its uStudio lead for two years from 2021 to 2023.

She was also lead the business strategy for Lion & Lion in Singapore, taking up two roles in her time there. From November 2017 to May 2018, she functioned as the company’s client director and handled the strategy for the department.  She was then promoted to managing director in 2018 and continued leading and spearheading the company’s business strategy.

She has also previously helmed roles in OglivyOne Worldwide and Group M over her extensive career.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out for more information.

The news comes shortly after Telkom Indonesia and Indosat reportedly established an interconnected Internet Exchange (IX) ecosystem.

The move was established after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Telkom Indonesia’s data centre unit NeutraDC and BDx Indonesia. The collaboration is meant to be a step towards creating an interconnected Digital Infrastructure Mesh for Indonesia
