London headquartered consultancy Yonder is expanding further into Southeast Asia, with the acquisition of Singapore-based consultancy Chapter and Verse. The company already has a presence across  London, New York and Hong Kong. The Southeast Asian team will be led by Chapter and Verse founder and CEO Jonathan Bernstein. Bernstein has over 20 years of global marketing and branding experience.

Since relocating to Asia in 2007, Bernstein has led brand development programmes for leading companies including Jardine Matherson, Barito Pacific Group, Multiverse Labs, Myanma Apex Bank (MAB), Siam Commercial Bank, Philippine Airlines and SCG Thailand. Prior to setting up Chapter and Verse, Bernstein was previously managing director of Interbrand Southeast Asia, an agency that ceased its operation in Singapore in 2018.

According to a press statement, Yonder already has several longstanding client relationships in the region. It is looking to position itself as an agency which is able to “respond to the increasing demand for the blend of insight, strategy, and imagination” to help clients solve business challenges. The business is looking to build on the momentum of the 20% growth. Yonder’s entry into Singapore adds to an already strong footprint in Hong Kong and New York where clients include Lane Crawford, Christies, Fuin, CUNA, Oriental Bank, Cognizant, Radisson Hotel Group, Randstad, Ralph Lauren, and Fruit of the Loom.

Bernstein said, “I’m excited to bring a new type of consultancy, created in response to client need, to the Southeast Asian market. It’s a market ready for a new approach and we’re ready to deliver. The success of Yonder in the US, Europe and Greater China shows the power of such a unique approach in delivering beyond the expected for clients, enabling them to innovate and grow by getting closer to their customers.”

Manfred Abraham co-CEO of Yonder added that Southeast Asia is an extremely dynamic and entrepreneurial region. "The fast-growing economy means interesting opportunities are being created across many sectors perfectly aligned with what we do. We truly believe that there is no other firm that can deliver what we can – Yonder’s blend of insight, strategy, and imagination we bring to our clients is really resonating with clients and delivering incredible results. We’re delighted to welcome Jonathan and the team to Yonder," said Abraham.
