
L’Oréal Thailand picks media agency

L'Oréal Groupe Thailand has picked Group M's Wavemaker Thailand as its media agency of record effective January 2024. This appointment marks an expansion of responsibilities from advertising media planning to e-commerce media strategies for Wavemaker, according to the agency in a statement.

“This renewed alliance with Wavemaker marks an exciting chapter in our quest for a highly compatible partnership. I'm enthusiastic about the synergy and innovative media strategies we can harness together," said Yada Sarttarasathit, chief digital and marketing officer of L'Oréal Groupe in Thailand.
"As we strengthen and elevate our relationship, I look forward to collaborating with Wavemaker on our transformative journey. With a focus on data and consumer insights at the core of our operations, complemented by creative media thinking, we are poised to successfully fulfill our mission of Creating the beauty that moves the world,” she added.

“Wavemaker is ready to partner with L'Oréal on this incredible journey, utilising data and knowledge from the WPP network worldwide to drive media planning and eCommerce strategies for L'Oréal. We aim to create comprehensive online and offline beauty experiences for every Thai consumer."
The win comes shortly after Wavemaker appointed Sindhuja Rai as its new CEO in the Asia Pacific region. She will be based in Singapore and will report to Toby Jenner, the agency's global CEO.
As APAC CEO, Rai will drive the strategy and execution of how Wavemaker positively provokes growth for their clients and people around the region.
