Shortly after its acquisition of Droga5 which was also its biggest since its founding, Accenture Interactive will be taking creative in-house and names Droga5 as its lead creative agency. This marks the end of its relationship with TBWA\\Chiat Day\\New York after working with it since 2011.

Confirming the move to Marketing, an Accenture spokesperson said that the time has come for the agency to use more of its own creative expertise, services and capabilities. The spokesperson added that Accenture has expanded its capabilities and has the capacity and scale to service its own brand while delivering to clients at the same time.

"This decision is not a result of performance issues with TBWA\, but reflects the changing dynamic of our own creative capabilities," the spokesperson said, adding that over the years, the TBWA\ team helped evolve Accenture's brand positioning - "New. Applied. Now."

Over the last few years, Accenture has made investments in bolstering its creative capabilities, through acquisitions such as Fjord, Karmarama and Droga5, as well as hiring top agency talent. Former Wunderman Singapore CEO Shannon Dix recently took on the new role of director, Accenture Interactive Operations, ASEAN. Dix reunites with former Wunderman APAC CEO Caspar Schlickum who took on the role of regional managing director for Asia Pacific at Accenture Interactive Operations earlier this year.
