Accenture Interactive Operations, the global marketing managed services arm of Accenture Interactive, hires Caspar Schlickum (pictured) as the regional managing director for Asia Pacific (APAC). Based in Singapore, Schlickum brings to Accenture 17 years of leadership and business development experience with start-ups and established business clients.Schlickum joins Accenture from WPP, where he was the CEO of Wunderman APAC, and the EMEA CEO and co-founder of its media business, Xaxis. Prior to WPP, Schlickum worked in Deutsche Bank’s investment banking division. Schlickum said, “In today’s highly interconnected world, marketers need a partner that can deliver consistent world-class execution, bring together content and drive commerce. Accenture has the expertise and relationships across operations, technology and experience design to help our clients achieve their business objectives. I’m excited about the opportunity to help clients in APAC rapidly deploy solutions that reinvent the legacy marketing supply chain.”Meanwhile, Accenture Interactive Operations has also recruited Peter Kolster Hansen as the managing director and worldwide lead for its next-generation content services unit. According to the media release, both of them will play a critical role in differentiating product and service offerings to help clients "reinvent the way they activate, operate and scale marketing programs to drive superior business outcomes and measurable performance."While Schlickum helps clients grow by leveraging opportunities in the region, Hansen will ensure the integrated deployment of multi-channel content creation, said global president of Accenture Interactive Operations Nikki Mendonça. She added, “With analytics, automation and applied intelligence as the new competitive advantage, we can now activate a cost-effective hub-and-spoke marketing operating model for the world’s most notable brands."The announcement is in line with Accenture's release of its new flagship SynOps for Marketing human-machine operating “engine” that optimises the synergy of data, applied intelligence, digital technologies and talent to help organisations transform business operations, create exceptional user experiences and deliver results.Earlier in January, Wunderman Thompson appointed Annette Male the CEO for APAC, effective yesterday. Meanwhile, Accenture’s chief financial officer David Rowland said in October 2018 that its digital, cloud and security-related services, including Accenture Interactive, Accenture Applied Intelligence and Industry X have grown 20% year-on-year.
