YE's Jakarta concert inspires a wave of brand-led social media takes

Brands in Indonesia have found a creative way to join the conversation around YE’s (formerly Kanye West) concert, turning one of its most recognisable stage features into social media content.
Domino’s, KFC, Hydro Coco, Subway, Royco, Wendy’s, Haidilao, Simpati, CIMB Niaga and Siloam International Hospitals are among those that have tapped into the buzz around YE’s Jakarta concert, creating posts inspired by its giant, half-sphere stage. The structure, often described as the Giant World Globe Stage, has become a defining visual of YE’s 2026 tour, with each company putting its own spin on the distinctive shape to reflect its products, identity and messaging.
The concert, held at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on 24 October, marked YE’s first performance in Indonesia and his only Southeast Asian stop on the 2026 tour. Beyond the music, the event also generated significant economic activity, with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung estimating its contribution to the capital’s economy at IDR 450 billion (US$25 million), as spending flowed into supporting sectors including hospitality, transport, food and beverage, and small businesses.

YE’s name also lends itself to playful local wordplay, as ‘ye’ echoes the colloquial Indonesian expression for ‘ya’ (yes) and the suffix ‘-nya’, giving brands another way to localise their posts.
Here are how brands put their own spin on YE’s Giant World Globe Stage:
1. Domino's Pizza Indonesia
Domino’s Pizza used the globe-shaped stage to promote its Cheese Volcano Meatmax, featuring a signature melted cheese crater surrounded by generous meaty toppings. The post carried the line “Cobain ye, enak ini ye” (Try it, it’s good).
2. KFC Indonesia
KFC Indonesia played on the phrase “pusat dunia” (centre of the world), depicting a chicken thigh with a face and wearing its KFC bucket as a replacement for YE atop the giant globe stage.
3. Hydro Coco
Hydro Coco replaced the giant globe with an oversized coconut, bringing a post-concert twist to the conversation with the caption “Life after the concert, has your voice given out?” It then recommended its coconut water as a refreshing pick-me-up, tying the message back to its tagline, “from local coconuts, refreshing the world”.
4. Subway Indonesia
Subway Indonesia featured its mascot MinWAY standing atop the giant globe while holding an Overload Smoky Cheese sandwich. The accompanying caption described the sandwich as a taste that feels “on the top of the world”, linking the product to the concert-inspired imagery.
5. Royco Indonesia
Royco, Unilever Indonesia’s seasoning brand, replaced the globe with a giant sunny-side-up egg, with its Ayam Roy mascot standing on top while holding the brand’s latest product, launched in collaboration with the Ada Apa Dengan Cinta franchise.
6. Wendy's Indonesia
Wendy’s Indonesia depicted a bucket of crispy fried chicken alongside the caption “Gede YE ayamnya?” (The chicken cuts are huge, aren’t they?), referencing its Ayam Gila Gede, a special menu item featuring extra-large fried chicken.
7. Haidilao Huoguo Indonesia
Haidilao Huoguo Indonesia, the local branch of the popular Chinese hotpot chain, showcased a pot of steaming soup atop the globe to promote its mala milk broth, which combines the signature spiciness of mala seasoning with a creamy milk-based soup.
8. Simpati
Simpati used the globe-shaped visual to promote its Pasti Simpati package, featuring Indonesian singer Duta (Akhdiyat Duta Modjo) and comedian Dustin Tiffani. The post also incorporated YE-inspired wordplay in the line “Satu duni-YE harus tau” (The whole world must know).
9. CIMB Niaga
CIMB Niaga turned the globe into a backdrop for its XtraCurrency debit card promotion, featuring its octopus mascot associated with OCTO, the bank’s digital banking platform. Its caption read “Keliling duniYE, satu kartu debitnYE!” (Travel the world with one debit card), incorporating a nod to YE’s name.
10. Siloam International Hospitals
Siloam International Hospitals positioned its medical professionals atop the globe, pairing the visual with the message “standar layanan kesehatan kelas dunia” (world-class healthcare standards). The accompanying caption read “Dari panggung dunia, untuk Indonesia” (From the world stage, for Indonesia), underscoring its focus on bringing quality healthcare closer to home.
