Xaxis' APAC head of marketing and innovation Cheryl Ng (pictured) has left the agency to pursue a new opportunity. Confirming to Marketing, Ng said as a marketer, she has been fortunate to have had a front row seat learning about digital marketing, audience, campaign optimisation, Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and so forth sitting within Xaxis and GroupM.

As the head of marketing and innovation overseeing APAC markets, Ng was responsible for building up and maintaining the agency's position while also creating awareness for Xaxis’ products and brands through strategic marketing initiatives and public relations. She was also in charge of fostering an innovative culture across APAC by driving regional and global projects within the agency. Ng was first joined Xaxis in 2015 as the regional marketing director and scaled her way up.

She brings with her 15 years of marketing and communication experience in APAC, having developed and led regional and large scale marketing, communications and innovation strategies and initiatives on both regional and local market levels. Prior to joining Xaxis, Ng was the APAC marketing manager for recruitment firm Ambition Asia for over three years. It was in her remit then to grow the company's regional brand presence and awareness through various marketing and PR initiatives/campaigns through offline, digital platforms, content development and events.

Ng has also had stints with Robert Walters, MRM Worldwide, Young & Rubicam, Bates Asia as well as Mediacorp's Channel NewsAsia. She also founded her own boutique communications agency, CYAN communications in 2012, and had since signed off her half of the company two years ago.
