Weber Shandwick general manager Arif Rajab is stepping down from the agency after more than a decade with the business.

In a statement to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Arif described his time at the agency as an "incredibly rewarding journey", thanking colleagues, clients and partners who had shaped his career.

During his tenure, Arif led business growth, operations, client leadership and talent development, while advising organisations across Asia Pacific on brand, corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement. One of the defining highlights of his time at the agency was helping to build AI-enabled and data-driven solutions that strengthened client advisory capabilities.

"It has been a privilege to lead an exceptional team, partner with organisations across Asia Pacific on complex business, brand and reputation challenges, and help grow the business through new client relationships, bespoke integrated solutions and new capabilities," he said.

Arif was promoted to general manager in December 2024 after previously serving as senior vice president. He first joined the agency over a decade ago as manager, integrated digital strategy. He later progressed through several leadership roles including vice president in 2021 and senior vice president in 2023.

Looking ahead, Arif said he plans to continue advising organisations as they navigate an increasingly complex business landscape.

"As I look ahead to my next chapter, I'm excited to continue helping organisations navigate an increasingly complex business and stakeholder landscape through corporate and brand advisory," he said.

"I believe the future of advisory lies in combining the judgement and experience of trusted advisers with the power of technology, data and AI to help leaders anticipate challenges, make better decisions, strengthen reputation and build more resilient organisations."

Before joining Weber Shandwick in 2016, Arif held roles at AKA Asia, Cohn & Wolfe and Brand Incorporated.

Arif's departure comes amid broader leadership changes at Weber Shandwick. As previously reported by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, senior vice president, head of communications and business development, APAC, Farah Zuber is also stepping down from the agency.

Farah joined Weber Shandwick in 2024 to lead the agency's communications and business growth strategy across Asia Pacific, working closely with market leaders to strengthen its regional positioning and drive new business. Before joining the agency, she held roles at Redhill, SPAG, Edelman and ARC Worldwide in Malaysia.
