Tupperware Brands packs up APAC digital director search with Nicholas Chay

Nicholas Chay, former Facebook's client partner for financial services, has joined Tupperware Brands as APAC digital director. Chay (pictured) reports to Daniel Wood, VP for sales and marketing for APAC.

Chay is responsible for leading and supporting Tupperware's direct selling and omnichannel strategy implementation in APAC. He is also required to increase and accelerate the sales force experience and performance by using digital tools and technologies. Additionally, Chay will be responsible for developing end-to-end consumer experiences to engage new and existing consumers. Partnering with the APAC business units, Chay is required to also identify opportunities in driving revenue and growth in the direct-to-consumer and eCommerce channel. Tupperware Brands was previously on the hunt for this role earlier in January.

Before Tupperware, Chay was with Facebook for more than three years where he collaborated with clients and media agencies to maximise their Facebook media investments. According to his LinkedIn, he has worked with clients such as McDonald's Malaysia, RHB Bank, CIMB Bank, Sime Darby Property, Alliance Bank, and AIA Malaysia. Prior to that, Chay worked at Telenor Group as where he was the go-to-market lead for MyTelenor consumer app in Bangkok for close to a year. According to his LinkedIn, he also helmed the roles of head of digital innovation and head of digital strategy and channels at Telenor Group's dtac, as well as head of digital marketing at Digi Telecommunications.

Tupperware also welcomed another experienced individual to its team in 2019, appointing Kartik Khare, former senior global brand director for Unilever's oral care brand Smile, as VP, marketing and digital, Asia Pacific previously. According to his LinkedIn, Khare is now global VP, product strategy and innovation for the brand.
