F&B group, the Select Group has appointed See Wee Heng (pictured) as head of marketing and communications, where he will be tasked with marketing outreach and communications duties for the Group's suite of culinary brands. In his new role, he will report to Select Group founder and managing director Vincent Tan Chor Khoon.

See was formerly head of marketing, brands and communications at NTUC LearningHub (LHUB) for four years. During his time there, See helped the organisation in its digital transformation journey, particularly in the customer and outreach segment.

See said in a statement that the pandemic provided the nudge for NTUC LearningHub to make the leap from a hybrid model to fully embrace digital and social channels for consumer outreach. "I left NTUC LHUB in the good hands of my marketing, brand and communications team. They now have a strong, established brand with a strong and engaged social base, as well as a stable and quality leads stream supported by an experienced team of digital marketers," he added. See also credits his previous CEO, Kwek Kok Kwong, for mentoring him and giving him the opportunity to lead the marketing, brand and communications team as well as giving him a seat on the management table.

Prior to NTUC LearningHub, See was assistant director, corporate communications at People's Association for close to three years and, prior to that, served as a council member on the Media Literacy Council, Infocomm Media Development Authority for about two years; according to his LinkedIn. He was also previously assistant manager at Ascendas, owned by CapitaLand, where he oversaw digital and social media marketing, internal communications, and tenant relations duties for the company. According to his LinkedIn, he has also helmed managerial roles in MediaCorp, the Singapore campus for James Cook University Australia, and SingPost.

See said that he is excited to contribute his expertise and varied experience to the F&B industry. He also aims to continue and broaden the trend of digitisation in the sector, by setting his sights beyond food delivery apps and websites. He added that he is ready for the hard work of transformation, which he believes will come when hearts and minds are won through trust and small wins along the way.

He is also the founder of local food, travel and lifestyle blog AspirantSG.
