Telkomsel, OpenAI launch SEA's first ChatGPT Go bundled plan in Indonesia

Telkomsel has partnered with OpenAI to launch the first ChatGPT Go bundled plan in Southeast Asia, offering affordable access to AI-powered tools for millions of Indonesians. Priced from just IDR 50,000 (US$3), the package includes data specifically for the ChatGPT app and a subscription to ChatGPT Go, available through the MyTelkomsel app.

The partnership aims to make AI technology more accessible, inclusive, and practical for everyday use, leveraging Telkomsel’s expansive mobile network to deliver seamless connectivity and smarter experiences. 

ChatGPT Go, a more affordable version of OpenAI’s subscription plans, provides users with access to popular ChatGPT features such as: up to 10× higher message limits using GPT-5, up to 10× more daily image generations and uploads, and double the conversation memory for more personalised responses.

Prepaid (SIMPATI) and postpaid (Halo) users can activate the package starting from IDR 50,000 (US$3), which includes 3GB of dedicated data for the ChatGPT app and up to two months of ChatGPT Go access. Customers may also choose to redeem 1,000 Telkomsel Poin for a ChatGPT Go subscription or receive it as part of selected IndiHome broadband plans above 75 Mbps.

The promo runs until 30 April 2026 and is available in limited quantities. After the period ends, the regular price of IDR 75,000 (US$4.5) per month will apply.

The collaboration marks one of OpenAI’s first telecom partnerships in Southeast Asia, as Telkomsel positions itself at the forefront of AI-driven digital innovation. Both companies are also exploring future initiatives to integrate AI more deeply into everyday experiences, from productivity tools to industry-specific applications.
