Telkomsel blends connectivity and play with Topgolf bundling for SIMPATI and Halo users

Telkomsel is extending its push into digital lifestyle offerings through a new collaboration with Topgolf, introducing a bundled package that combines mobile data with an experiential leisure activity.

The Telkomsel x Topgolf Package offers customers two hours of play at Topgolf alongside a 30 GB internet quota, positioning connectivity as part of a broader social and entertainment experience.

Available to SIMPATI (prepaid) and Halo (postpaid) customers in the Greater Jakarta area, the package is priced from IDR 175,000 (US$10.4) and can be activated exclusively via the MyTelkomsel app until 31 December 2026. Customers receive 30 GB of data valid for 30 days, along with a voucher for a two-hour session at a Regular Bay at Topgolf on weekdays.

The initiative reflects Telkomsel’s strategy to move beyond traditional telco offerings and embed its services more deeply into everyday lifestyle moments. “Through the SIMPATI and Halo brands, we aim to deliver digital lifestyle services that are relevant to our customers’ lifestyles. With this package, customers can stay connected with 30 GB from Telkomsel while also enjoying a world-class Topgolf experience. This represents a tangible expression of Telkomsel’s commitment to delivering beyond-connectivity services that are relevant, enjoyable, and value-adding,” said Jockie Heruseon, VP of B2B/G2C business at Telkomsel.

From a consumer perspective, the bundle targets social usage rather than individual consumption. Each Regular Bay can accommodate up to six people, making it suitable for family outings or casual team gatherings. The weekday-only access reinforces the package’s positioning as an after-work or off-peak social activity, while the data allowance supports sharing moments on social media or coordinating group plans.

The package can be purchased directly through MyTelkomsel, with data activated immediately upon purchase. The Topgolf voucher code is sent via SMS from 777 and can be redeemed by presenting the message at Topgolf’s Guest Service counter.

For Topgolf, the partnership aligns with its emphasis on accessibility and social play. “Playing at Topgolf is a social-first experience. We believe everyone can have fun – you don’t have to be great at swinging a club. Together with Telkomsel, we invite more people, including SIMPATI and Halo customers, to enjoy a game that is fun, inclusive, and easy to access,” said Hartman Harris, CEO of ATTN.

In recent months, Telkomsel has accelerated its bundling strategy as part of a broader shift from pure connectivity to digital lifestyle and AI-enabled services. This includes its landmark partnership with OpenAI to launch Southeast Asia’s first ChatGPT Go telco bundle, offering affordable access to AI tools via SIMPATI and Halo plans, as well as redemption through Telkomsel Poin and inclusion in selected IndiHome packages.

Alongside OpenAI, Telkomsel has also partnered with Perplexity to roll out Indonesia’s first AI-and-connectivity bundle, integrating Perplexity Pro into prepaid, postpaid, enterprise, and smartphone packages. Beyond AI, the telco has strengthened its content ecosystem through collaborations such as iQIYI’s Indonesia market entry, combining network capabilities with bundled streaming plans and co-marketing initiatives.
