STB UK calls for PR pitch to lure British tourists

Singapore Tourism Board Northern & Western Europe (STB) has called for a public relations pitch out of its UK office.

The appointed agency will also be tasked to provide PR and communications consultancy services to STB for strategic counsel, traditional and new media cultivation, media relations, including both traditional and digital media. This is all in a bid to attract more inbound visitors from the UK.

According to a brief seen by Marketing, the appointed agency will be contracted for a period of two years from 1 February 2016 to 31 January 2018 with an option to renew for an additional year.

The chosen agency will be tasked to develop a communications strategy that builds awareness, mindshare, affinity and advocacy of Singapore as an attractive lifestyle destination for our target consumers. The agency will also need to conceptualise a strategy that will drive the desire for travel to Singapore and increase spend by showcasing the plethora of offerings in the country. The aim of this is to bring back repeat tourists to the country.

The PR agency will also need to strengthen STB’s influence with key media (both traditional and digital) as well as key opinion leaders/bloggers. The agency must also demonstrate means to strengthen Singapore’s destination presence digitally in social networks by catalysing social conversations through the cultivation of influencers across all media, with a strong focus on the digital sphere.
