Prakash Kamdar (pictured left) is leaving dentsu after 15 years with the network, with Prerna Mehrotra (pictured right) set to take over as CEO, Singapore from 1 October 2026.

Mehrotra will also continue in the role of chief client officer, APAC, as she succeeds Kamdar, who most recently served as CEO, Clients & Solutions, Southeast Asia, alongside his Singapore leadership role.

Kamdar joined dentsu in 2011 through the acquisition of his digital agency, The Upper Storey, which launched Isobar in Singapore. He became CEO, Singapore in September 2019 and subsequently held leadership roles spanning Singapore, Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

During his seven years leading dentsu Singapore, Kamdar helped steer the business through what the network described as a period of significant transformation, bringing its capabilities closer together and strengthening its leadership foundations.

“I have had the privilege of leading our Singapore business through different phases of transformation in an industry that rarely stands still. Together with our people, we have navigated periods of resilience, defining moments and some of the strongest years for the network in Singapore,” said Kamdar.

“I am proud of how the business has pushed boundaries and evolved and even more proud of where it stands today and the potential it has for tomorrow. I am deeply grateful to our people, clients and partners who have been part of that journey and will remain a proud friend of dentsu," he added.

Meanwhile, Mehrotra has spent the past decade at dentsu, including the last three years as chief client officer, APAC, alongside her role as CEO, Media, APAC. Her experience spans some of the network’s largest clients and markets across the region.

She has also worked alongside the Singapore team for the past seven years.

“My focus now is on building on those foundations, continuing to deepen our client partnerships, bringing together the full breadth of our local and regional capabilities and creating new opportunities for growth and innovation,” said Mehrotra.

Mehrotra added that she aims to position dentsu Singapore as a place where talent can thrive and clients see the network as a trusted growth partner, while creating work and expertise that can have an impact across the region.

Yuichi Toyoda, CEO, APAC, dentsu, said Singapore remains an important market for the network, given its role as a hub for regional and global decision-makers and brands.

“Mehrotra brings deep regional experience, a strong client perspective and a genuine understanding of our people, culture and capabilities,” said Toyoda.

“Over the last 10 years she has built trusted relationships across our business and with our clients, positioning her well to connect the strengths of our Singapore team with opportunities across the region," he added.

Toyoda also thanked Kamdar for his 15-year tenure, noting his role in building dentsu’s business in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The leadership change in Singapore comes as dentsu continues to strengthen its senior teams across APAC.

Earlier this month, dentsu Hong Kong appointed Helen Cheung as chief growth officer, media, in a move focused on accelerating strategic growth, developing media capabilities and identifying new opportunities across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Cheung joined dentsu after serving as managing director of Omnicom Media in Hong Kong, bringing more than three decades of experience across the market's media agency sector.

In July, dentsu Thailand appointed Phannika Vongsayan as chief growth officer, a newly created role focused on commercial growth, strategic partnerships and expanding the agency's creative capabilities. Vongsayan joined from TBWA\ Group Thailand, where she served as group CEO after co-founding Wolf BKK.
