Starbucks Malaysia is tapping into the power of collectables with the launch of its 'Frappuccino siplings' plush, a new line of drink-inspired plushies designed to drive brand love.

The limited-edition range, which dropped across all Starbucks Malaysia stores on 8 July, features four characters inspired by some of the brand’s most popular frappuccino flavours: Java chip, matcha cream, caramel and a surprise birthday confetti ube, dubbed a “hidden gem” by the coffee giant.

Each plushie comes in a blind box, adding an element of surprise for fans and collectors alike. To sweeten the deal, Starbucks is giving customers a free grande-sized frappuccino with every frappuccino siplings plush purchase, redeemable when they pay with a Starbucks card or the mobile app.

The plushies are available while stocks last.

The launch comes as Starbucks continues to build its community through novelty items, seasonal merchandise and loyalty perks. In Philippines, the coffee giant also tapped into the blind box craze and unveiled mini straw charms.

Launched earlier June and exclusive to the Philippines, the straw charms can be attached to reusable straws and comes in five different designs. Four of which are bears dressed in summer outfits such as pink and white polka dot dress, a green button up and beige shorts and more. The other charm features a yellow jeep with the brand name as its license plate.

Starbucks isn't the only brand to have tapped into the power of plushies as of late. Most recently, KFC Malaysia introduced a trio of charming capybara plushies. Similarly, the fast-food giant's plushies come in the form of blind boxes too.

The three capybaras - Chicket, Buck Buck and Zingi - are each 3.5-inches tall and come with quirky personalities and backstories. Chiket is the cheerful leader, carrying a KFC chicken bucket on his back. As the self-proclaimed "crunch protector," he’s obsessed with guarding every drumstick like treasure. Buck Buck is the laidback sidekick who prefers snoozing in a KFC bucket, blowing bubbles in his sleep. Quiet and chill, his personality core is all about lowkey vibes.

Meanwhile, Zingi is the bold foodie of the trio, sporting a KFC Zinger burger bag and a flair for spicy drama. Her motto? Life’s better with a little heat and a lot of flavour.
