Spritzer Sparkling urges Malaysians to go easy on themselves

Spritzer Sparkling is encouraging Malaysians to take a more relaxed approach to everyday wellbeing with its new “Rasa light je” (“Go light on yourself”) campaign.
Launched on 30 October, the campaign centres on the idea that people do not need to make drastic lifestyle changes or strive for perfection to feel better about themselves. Instead, it encourages consumers to embrace small, manageable actions that can be incorporated into their everyday routines.
As part of the campaign, Spritzer Sparkling has launched a microsite featuring nine short videos inspired by everyday situations, including moments of stress, self-doubt and self-care. The videos aim to offer a light-hearted take on navigating daily challenges with greater self-compassion and positivity.

The campaign comes amid the pressures of increasingly busy lifestyles, with Spritzer looking to challenge the perception that wellbeing needs to be complicated or become another responsibility on consumers' to-do lists.
The short films are categorised under each flavour of Spritzer - classic, sea salt and citron and lemon. Each flavour gets three videos, one in Malay, one in Chinese, and one in English.
One video features a woman struggling in a fitness class and craving bubble tea, before being offered a bottle of Spritzer Sparkling. Another depicts two parents sneakily drinking a sweet drink, before their daughter replaces it with Spritzer Sparkling. Both show off the drink as a healthier, refreshing option.
Rather than positioning wellbeing as an aspirational or demanding lifestyle change, the campaign focuses on making it feel more accessible through relatable situations and everyday choices.
More than a seasonal initiative, Spritzer said it hopes to encourage a broader conversation around celebrating progress over perfection, while making room for greater balance and joy in daily life.
Shiao Chan, head of marketing at Spritzer, said the campaign was developed to remind consumers that looking after themselves should not feel like an additional burden.
“With ‘Go light on yourself’, we wanted to offer people a reminder that wellbeing doesn’t have to feel like another item on the to-do list. All it takes is a small choice or a moment for us to feel lighter, happier and more positive about the day ahead,” Chan said.
The campaign builds on Spritzer's broader efforts to position itself beyond a bottled water brand and strengthen its association with everyday wellness.
In October, Spritzer introduced Spritzer ION alongside its "ON-JE!" brand belief, encouraging Malaysians to overcome hesitation and embrace new experiences. The launch followed the brand's wider "Flow with joy" refresh in May, which marked a shift towards a more lifestyle-led positioning.
