
SPH Magazines launches website for purchase of print and digital content

SPH Magazines has launched a website for the purchase of print and digital magazines, myNEWSSTAND.online. The site will carry over 60 international and local magazines, including the digital editions such as Bloomberg Business Week, The Atlantic, and Inc.All subscriptions to digital magazines are activated upon purchase and can be accessed through its mobile app, myNEWSSTAND. For titles by SPH Magazines such as Her World, Home & Decor and others, readers will be be able to choose between the print or digital editions. myNEWSSTAND is also part of SPH Magazines’ end-to-end digitisation solutions for magazine publishers in the region. Through this new distribution channel, myNEWSSTAND aims to power up the digital presence of regional publishers and improve the accessibility of their brands to audiences.Maureen Wee, CEO of SPH Magazines, said that over the last year, the company has seen an uptake of readers subscribing to its magazines online. Through the online site, SPH Magazines aim to improve their purchase experience and offer them more choices.Joseph Lee, managing director of SPH Magazines, said that SPH Magazines is exploring ways to develop and leverage on the strength of its portfolio as well as its regional network to enhance discoverability of its content and brands for its readers. "We are excited to embark on this journey as we explore new opportunities to further engage with our readers not only in Singapore but also in the region," he added.Just last week, SPH Magazines appointed Diana Lee as managing director, business solutions with effect from 1 March 2019. She was previously the general manager of SPH Magazines. She will report to Wee, who was elevated to take on the CEO role last month. In her new role, Lee will be tasked to drive the key revenue pillar of the business as she works with the editorial, marketing and digital teams to drive innovation in the creation of client solutions.
