Sinclair wins Design Shanghai account

Sinclair has been appointed by Clarion Events, organiser and producer of the Design Shanghai annual events, as its integrated communications partner for Design Shanghai (June 2021), Design China Beijing (September 2021) and Design Shenzhen (December 2021).

Sinclair’s hub in Shanghai will lead the ten month project, which sets out to build brand awareness and buzz for Design Shanghai, Design China Beijing and Design Shenzhen among design enthusiasts in China and internationally. Deploying a mix of integrated strategies, including media relations, influencer engagement, social media strategies, content creation and more, Sinclair will generate excitement and understanding for the three tentpole events.

Meanwhile, Sinclair has also been appointed for its expertise in WeChat driven strategies and will be using the platform to engage social savvy audiences across China.

"We are delighted that our remit not only includes generating excitement and driving traffic for the highly acclaimed Design Shanghai, but we will also build industry and consumer awareness for Design China Beijing, and the inaugural edition of Design Shenzhen. Projects such as these, that meld artistry, creativity and technology, as well as being both industry and consumer facing, allow Sinclair to employ its expertise across many sectors, making this a truly unique assignment for an agency such as ours," commented Kiri Sinclair, founder and CEO of Sinclair.

Zhuo Tan, show director of Design Shanghai, Design China Beijing and Design Shenzhen, also commented, “We are delighted to work with Sinclair who will be a great support to us as we take our Asian leading collection of exhibitions to another level. We welcome all future shapers to join our events this year, as we gather the world’s leading designers and brands to jointly present frontier solutions and creativities.”
