Singapore Airlines has launched a Designed by Singapore Airlines collection featuring limited edition aviation tags (pictured above) and bags.

The tags will feature SIA's signature livery and individual serial numbers and will be made from the skin of three of its retired aircrafts, the Airbus 380, Airbus A330-300, and Boeing 777-200. The tags will be made available for sale at SIA's The Upcycling Project pop up store at Design Orchard available until 18 August 2022 and will be priced SG$78 onwards. Customers can pay SG$88 if they want to choose specific serial numbers.

Additionally, the Designed by Singapore Airlines will feature a new series of carrier bags, made from upcycled parts of old life vests. The new carrier bags are named the Lifesaver Zip Pouch, a pouch with a zip and gusset, the Altitude Traveller Bag, a tote with top handles or crossbody with versatile straps that comes with the bag, the Runway Shopper Bag, a spacious tote bag which comes with a hook closure to secure its contents, an interior side pocket, and a red zipper made from the pull tab of the life vest, and the Highflyer Messenger Bag, a bag with an interior laptop slot and multiple interior and exterior side pockets.

These bags will be available online on its online shopping site in September.

The Upcycling Project is an initiative by Singapore Airlines to repurpose its materials. The pop up store offers over 40 products made from upcycled aircraft parts and materials in collaboration with Singapore based retail outlets. The items will be available on both the individual retailers' shops and SIA's website. Previously, SIA had also collaborated with SUTD to launch an Upcycling Challenge, where students from both tertiary and pre-tertiary institutions repurposed aircraft parts and materials into fashion, furniture, lifestyle, and home products. These items were on display on 6 July.

This is not Singapore Airlines' first foray into the lifestyle offering space. In 2021, it created its own signature scent, Batik Flora by Singapore Airlines in partnership with Singapore artisanal perfume label, Scent by SIX. The signature scent included floral notes from six flowers in SIA's batik motif: aquatic ginger, common dianella, seashore purslane, simpoh lak, utania nervosa, and white kopsia.
