Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has appointed Zeno Communications Singapore as its new PR partner. SDC previously worked with The Hoffman Agency. According to Gebiz, six agencies such as Burson-Marsteller, Grayling Asia, Ninemer Communications, Ogilvy Singapore, The Hoffman Agency Asia Pacific and Zeno Communications were vying for the account. The appointment is for a period of two years, with an option to extend for another year.

In a statement to Marketing, Mira Bharin, director (brand, marketing and communications), Sentosa Development Corporation said the appointment comes after a?rigorous tender evaluation. As year-end holidays and festivities approach, the company is looking to deepen its engagement with locals and tourists?with its signature events such as Island Lights and Siloso Beach Party. "It is also timely to leverage Zeno?s ideas and creativity to reach out to guests as we welcome more visitors to Sentosa," she added.

Recently,?SDC launched a campaign called ?Make Time? which takes a stand on the importance of making time for oneself and loved ones. Targeted at Singaporean working adults and parents, the campaign has also rolled out a film developed in 90-second and 60-second versions. The campaign is running across OOH and the social videos will run for a course of six months, with?nine weeks of print and TV. BBH Singapore worked with SDC on the campaign.

In April, SDC also?launched a ?Sentosa x Enterprise? scheme to enhance the island?s leisure offerings. Aimed at driving innovation among local enterprises, the scheme aims to create opportunities to test bed ideas, concepts, and technologies, while leveraging the island?s geographical attributes and environment.

According to a statement from SDC, Sentosa x Enterprise?s partnership model allows businesses to ?benefit from a risk-sharing arrangement? while working on projects that could boost Sentosa?s vibrancy and attractiveness. Proposals will be assessed on how innovative or novel the concepts are, the business? ability to achieve SDC?s goals to promote the island as a ?world-class leisure destination?.
