Raffi Ahmad joins Nippon Paint's push for high-spender loyalty
share on
Indonesian actor Raffi Ahmad is now part of Nippon Paint's latest retail push - offering top spenders a VIP meet-and-greet in a move to drive sales and loyalty.
Running across cities, the #RaffiVIPExperience campaign rewards customers who hit a certain spending threshold on Nippon Paint products. According to home improvement retailer Mitra10, the top 24 spenders - each with a minimum purchase of IDR 10 million (US$616.2) - will be invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet with Ahmad at a five-star hotel in Bandung this August.
By tapping into Ahmad's massive fanbase, Nippon Paint is betting on the power of celebrity-driven exclusivity. The mechanic is straightforward: all purchases qualify, with particular emphasis on those across Nippon's full system range. In the case of a tie, purchase variety and completeness will determine the winner. Each selected customer may bring a plus-one to the experience.

On social media, Nippon Paint shared that Ahmad has visited nine cities across Indonesia, most recently Lubuklinggau in South Sumatra, to meet some winners. The company added that the star will continue the tour with a second batch of visits.
"I've gained a new family, growing closer to Nippon Paint's partners and their loyal customers," Ahmad said in a video. "As Nippon Paint's ambassador, I'm responsible to help everyone understand the latest innovations and technologies, and above all, to build heartfelt connections."
Ahmad is a celebrity and media personality boasting over 76 million Instagram followers and a strong track record of brand collaborations. Alongside his wife, Nagita Slavina, he co-founded RANS Entertainment - a multimedia enterprise that spans social media platforms, YouTube channels, production houses, digital agencies, and branding partnerships.
Founded in Japan in 1881, Nippon Paint has grown into a global leader in the paint and coatings industry - with a strong foothold in Indonesia. Its recent collaboration with CGV Grand Indonesia reflects a bold step into experiential design, transforming the cinema's public spaces into immersive, colour-driven environments.
Spanning 329 square metres, the makeover covers the lobby, premium lounge, and VIP lounge, each infused with carefully curated tones from Nippon Paint's Trend Beyond Colours collection. Themed palettes such as Find Renewal, Find Balance, Find Calm, and Find Freedom define each zone, turning colour into a narrative.
But the shift isn't just aesthetic. The project aims to showcase the evolution of paint technology. Nippon Paint used Spotless Plus Matt - an ultra-premium interior paint designed for both form and function. It features Air-Guard technology to neutralise formaldehyde, Silver-Ion for germ protection, and a Stain Guard finish ideal for high-traffic, public-facing spaces.
Over to Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Nippon Paint recently continued its cultural preservation efforts by revitalising the iconic Jam Gadang clock tower through its #ColouringLives programme. Seen as more than just a timepiece, Jam Gadang is a cultural symbol and source of pride for the Minangkabau people. Nippon Paint donated 326 litres of exterior and wood/metal paint to restore the landmark, an initiative welcomed by both local government and heritage authorities who see the tower as a central part of Bukittinggi's social and cultural fabric.
The effort didn't stop there. Nippon Paint also repainted the iconic Limpapeh Bridge, which links two major tourist attractions in Bukittinggi, contributing another 353 litres of paint. Since 2021, the company has taken part in repainting historic sites across Indonesia - including the Al-Jabbar Mosque, Mangkunegaran Palace, and Maimoon Palace - alongside hundreds of community projects in villages, religious sites, and small businesses.
