Lawrence Yang named CEO of Publicis Media Hong Kong

Publicis Groupe has named Lawrence Yang CEO of Publicis Media Hong Kong, effective 1 June 2021.

Yang is a 15-year industry veteran with experience at GroupM, Publicis Groupe Australia and USA, and has spent seven years with dentsu working across multiple roles, including dentsu International Hong Kong Media Line of Business CEO, a promotion he received in 2020. He's worked with a number of esteemed global brands including Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, DBS Bank, Shiseido, Dropbox, Hilton and the Peninsula Hotels.

In his new role, he will be oversee all Hong Kong media brands, including Zenith, Starcom, Spark Foundry, Digitas, Performics and Publicis PMX, and be responsible for building strategic value propositions for media brands and a broader portfolio strategy for business growth. Yang will report to Tom Kao, CEO of Publicis Groupe Hong Kong.

"The key growth areas in our market are in data and tech-driven media and we are taking great strides forward with our clients. I am confident with Lawrence taking the helm at Publicis Media, we are going to accelerate our transformation to enhance our quality of work and expand our total offerings to all our clients," said Kao.
