Publicis Groupe Indonesia has unveiled three senior appointments as it accelerates growth in one of the world’s most dynamic consumer markets. It has created a new leadership role, naming Chetan Shetty (pictured, left) as managing director of growth.
Shetty, who brings nearly two decades of experience across creative and media agencies, previously led McCann and FCB Jakarta as managing director and held a partner role at Wavemaker (GroupM) Jakarta. His career includes launching content divisions and influencer practices while delivering award-winning digital transformation for brands.
According to Sony Nichani, CEO of Publicis Groupe Indonesia, Shetty will spearhead growth through the seamless integration of data, media, and content for clients. “In a time of major marketing shifts fuelled by tech innovations and changing consumer behaviours, we’re investing in leaders who drive transformative integration for our clients. Chetan’s expertise in content and media will further unify our Groupe capabilities and help clients achieve outstanding business results,” she said.

Shetty expressed enthusiasm for joining the network: “I’m genuinely excited to be part of Publicis Groupe Indonesia because it is bringing together creative, media, content, and tech in a way that truly makes a difference. Today’s audiences are constantly evolving, and it’s not just about capturing attention - it’s about turning that attention into real, measurable results.”
“With a strong connected culture and trusting client relationships, we can create truly impactful work that resonates and drives growth. This feels like the right place for me to contribute, learn, and push boundaries,” he added.
Alongside Shetty, Leo Indonesia, part of Publicis Groupe, has added two senior creative directors.
Nadia Yuliani (pictured, centre) returns to Leo Indonesia, where she began her career nearly 20 years ago as a copywriter. Her portfolio spans FMCG, telco, personal care, and F&B, with a strong record in helping brands adapt to digital and deliver business transformation. She will work closely with William Mathovani, creative partner at Leo Indonesia.
Carlos Guto Kono (pictured, right), who brings 25 years of international experience, also joins as senior creative director. Originally from Brazil, Kono has worked at Leo Mexico and Publicis Brazil, and lived in São Paulo, Seoul, and Germany. He will report to Ravi Shanker, chief creative officer of Leo Indonesia and Publicis Groupe Indonesia.
With a population of more than 280 million, Indonesia represents a key hub for Southeast Asia. The appointments of Shetty, Yuliani, and Kono underscore Publicis Groupe’s commitment to helping brands in the region achieve greater impact while elevating Indonesian creativity onto the global stage.
All three appointments are effective immediately, the company said.
