Photobook Worldwide on the lookout for VP of marketing

Photobook Worldwide is on the lookout for a VP, marketing to oversee its B2C marketing segment for Malaysia and other countries, including Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan.. Photobook is a platform that enables consumers to create their own photo albums using ready made templates online.In a statement to A+M, Joachim Ooi, talent and culture manager, confirmed that Irene Foo has left her role as VP, marketing. She helmed the role for approximately three years, according to her LinkedIn. Ooi said that the individual is expected to contribute growth strategies to propel the business further, build a “very strong marketing culture” within the team and is digitally-savvy. Currently, Photobook is not working with any agencies. Among its core business pillars include CRM, mobile, digital, offline events, campaigns, affiliate marketing and partnerships.The individual will lead the company’s brand and marketing initiatives, and is responsible for prioritising and overseeing relevant marketing initiatives. This will be done according to the calendar, market situation or budget to stimulate customer purchases and drive brand affinity, according to the LinkedIn post.In the role, the individual is expected to develop crucial areas such as marketing communciations, product marketing, CRM, as well as online and offline distribution channel management. The employee is also requred to ensure the consistency and effectiveness of marketing initiatives while collaborating with relevant stakeholders from other departments. Photobook also requires the individual to utilise new technology or digital methodology to improve internal processes and systems for quick go-to market.Interested individuals are expected to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing or business development in eCommerce or FMCG. They should have a deep understanding of technology and how it affects customer behaviour to deploy programmes such as digital marketing, social media, eCommerce and CRM, the LinkedIn post said.Meanwhile, Photobook is also searching for a CRM marketing manager to develop strategy, standards and best practices for EDMs. The individual is expected to work closely with the marketing team to ensure the best practices are implemented and ROI is optimised. The CRM marketing manager will also function as a subject matter expert and represent the company in interactions with relevant vendors, as well as launch EDM programmes for new geographic markets. At least five years of working experience in EDM marketing is required for the role, as well as working knowledge of HTML, CSS and SQL.(Photo courtesy: 123RF)
