Newly rebranded Singtel TV adds six new channels

Singtel has launched six channels on the newly rebranded Singtel TV, formerly known as SingTel mio TV.

DIVA HD, E! Entertainment Television HD, HELLO! JAPAN, NHK World TV, NHK World Premium, and Toonami HD will make their appearance on the Singtel TV platform, starting 30 January. Goh Seow Eng, managing director of Singtel TV also added that the network is amping up its offerings to target Japanese culture enthusiasts.

“Singtel is an established and highly respected international telecommunications provider,” said Yoshihiko Shimizu, president and CEO of Japan International Broadcasting. “We are excited to be part of the Singtel family and to expand NHK WORLD TV and NHK WORLD Premium’s reach to one of the most dynamic pay-tv markets in the world.”

Christine Fellowes, managing director of Universal Networks International, Asia Pacific also added that the launch of DIVA and E! on Singtel TV marks an important milestone for NBCUniversal International Television’s strategic growth in Singapore.

Also currently available for free preview to all customers are the recently launched TransTV and Turner channels. The three Indonesian channels – !nsert, Showcase, and Bioskop Indonesia – can be accessed until 15 February, 2015, and the Turner channels – CNN International, HLN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Oh!K, truTV and Turner Classic Movies – until 5 March.
