Media agency shortlist for SingTel out

SingTel has released a shortlist of agencies for its media buying duties in Singapore.A SingTel spokesperson has confirmed that Havas Media, MEC, Mediacom, PHD and joint venture between Carat and Vizeum called Team Connect have made the cut.Earlier it was reported that shortlisted agencies will engage in chemistry workshops with the SingTel team, following which a final shortlist of three will be briefed on a strategic brief for final presentations.The entire process is expected to conclude in no more than 12 weeks, said SingTel’s tender.The work SingTel has executed with MEC include campaigns such as its Hawker Heroes challenge, featuring Gordon Ramsey.In October 2013, SingTel gave Ogilvy & Mather its full integrated portfolio for its marketing duties moving away from BBDO Singapore. Prior to that, the account was split between OgilvyOne and BBDO; and the latter had a five year relationship with SingTel.The pitch is managed by R3.
