Monks expands to Vietnam amid rising client demand
share on
Digital-first agency Monks is expanding its Southeast Asia footprint with a move into Vietnam, following rising demand from existing and new clients in the region.
The expansion adds to Monks’ existing presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, and comes as Vietnam becomes an increasingly strategic market for its global client base.
The agency has previously run campaigns in the country as part of its pan-Southeast Asian remit.

The move also enables Monks to tap into Vietnam’s fast-growing talent pool and digital economy, offering clients greater agility and scalability.
In addition, the Vietnam expansion is expected to strengthen its regional delivery capabilities while reinforcing its global platform ambitions.
“We are thrilled to establish our operational presence in Vietnam,” said Munas van Boonstra, managing director of Southeast Asia at Monks.
"This expansion is a testament to our continued growth and our dedication to providing innovative, best-in-class digital solutions to our clients," she added.
Monks is not the only agency to have set sights in Vietnam in recent months.
UK-headquartered SW Strategies has also stepped into the market, appointing Anh Thu Lai as a PR Consultant in January 2025 to oversee its communications outreach from Ho Chi Minh City.
Another fast-growing market in Southeast Asia is the Philippines, which is also seeing rapid agency expansion. Most recently, public relations agency Ellerton & Co. expanded into the market with two key senior hires.
