Mastercard picks Ogilvy’s Sarah Guldin as APAC comms director

Mastercard has appointed Sarah Guldin (pictured) as the new director, communications, Asia Pacific. Guldin last helmed a dual role of account director in Ogilvy Singapore, leading corporate communications as well as managing corporate PR client accounts.She first joined Ogilvy 10 years ago in 2009, taking on the role as senior manager, corporate communications. Based in Beijing, Guldin was elevated to an associate director and then to director of corporate communications in 2013. In her time in China, Guldin managed clients such as the US Embassy in China, WPP, Special Olympics and China Europe International Business School. After moving to Singapore in 2014, Guldin oversaw Coca-Cola’s social media strategy and initiatives in Singapore, among other client projects.Prior to her stint with Ogilvy, Guldin was with Burson-Marsteller for over four years. She started out as an intern and climbed into a senior associate role over the course of her time with the agency. According to her LinkedIn, Guldin was responsible for driving PR strategies, employee and stakeholder engagement and global media relations for Beijing 2008 Olympic Sponsors such as BHP Billiton and Samsung. She also supported PR campaigns and crisis communications work for clients such as Télefonica, Accenture, Lexus, Nestlé, Qualcomm and China Netcom’s IPO.
