Mastercard and Citi partner with local F&B groups to elevate dining experience

Mastercard has partnered with Citi and five hospitality groups to elevate National Day fireworks dining experience for credit cardholders over the stunning Victoria Harbour.
This partnership comes as a new Mastercard research reveals that nearly 75% of cardholders say they feel their best when spending time on their passions, including culinary exploration, artistic endeavours and cultural immersion. While this shift towards experiences holds true for all demographics, it is especially apparent among the top 30% of earners, who spend more than twice the average cardholder.
As part of this collaboration, Citi Mastercard cardholders will be offered exclusive access to prime viewing spots for the National Day fireworks display over Victoria Harbour at selected harbour-front restaurants on 1 October. Participating restaurants include 1957 & Co., Island Shangri-La, LUBUDS Group, Regent Hong Kong and The Food Story Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Mastercard has rolled out monthly and quarterly Mastercard Golden Rewards lucky draw campaigns to amplify reach. During the priority booking period, each eligible Mastercard transaction grants the cardholder one lucky draw entry, with the opportunity to win the top prize of HK$388,888 in spending credit.
Starting on 25 August, eligible Citi Mastercard cardholders will have exclusive pre-booking privileges at 13 participating restaurants, which feature a diverse range of cuisines such as authentic Cantonese, Western, Japanese and French.

The priority booking process will be rolled out in two phases: From 25 to 27 August, Citi ULTIMA cardholders, Citigold Private Client and Citigold clients can exclusively secure their bookings via dedicated pages on priceless.com. From 28 August to 10 September, pre-booking opens for all other eligible Citi Mastercard cardholders.
Helena Chen, senior vice president and general manager, Hong Kong and Macau, Mastercard, said, “Consumers today are prioritising experiences with loved ones over material things. Tapping into this sentiment, Mastercard is delighted to serve as an enabler in bringing together Citi and local F&B and hospitality groups to offer Citi Mastercard cardholders a memorable culinary experience."
"This partnership reimagines the essence of a priceless experience by combining premium dining opportunities with the spectacle of fireworks. Beyond creating unforgettable moments for Citi Mastercard cardholders, this initiative also supports the local F&B industry and helps to rejuvenate the city’s hospitality sector, further underscoring Mastercard’s dedication to celebrating and strengthening Hong Kong’s vibrant culture and economy,” Chen added.
Vicky Kong, head of wealth, Asia North and Australia, Citi, said, “At Citi, we have observed a strong and growing demand for premium dining experiences among our cardholders, especially our affluent Citi Prestige and Citi ULTIMA members. Dining remains one of the largest spending categories, with notable growth in the first half of 2025. This sustained appetite for high-end dining underpins our partnership with Mastercard to offer an exclusive National Day Fireworks dining experience. It's not just an unforgettable evening for our customers; it's also a meaningful way to support Hong Kong's vibrant food and beverage industry.”
Kinson Wong, chairman and executive director, 1957 & Co., said, “At 1957 & Co., we are proud to partner with Mastercard and Citi to deliver world-class dining experiences that elevate Hong Kong’s vibrant culinary landscape. This collaboration allows us to showcase our iconic harbour-front destination at Gonpachi, Tsim Sha Tsui, where diners can savour authentic Japanese izakaya cuisine that reflects our steadfast dedication to excellence, while enjoying breathtaking 270-degree views of Victoria Harbour. This partnership reinforces our shared mission to uplift the city’s dining scene and create unforgettable moments for Citi Mastercard cardholders.”

This vibrant collaboration amplifies Island Shangri-La’s passion for elevating Hong Kong’s dining scene with world-class culinary artistry.
