Mars has launched a global media pitch, which is also set to affect its Southeast Asia business.
In Southeast Asia and China, Publicis Groupe’s Starcom has been handling its media planning and buying duties. Globally, Starcom has been on the Mars business since 2010.
A spokesperson from Mars told Adweek the company is looking to appoint a single media agency and this change is in line with its “existing global advertising agency structure”. The spokesperson added that with the changing media landscape the new agency will let the company collaborate better across its global business “to drive efficiency, effectiveness and coordination in our media planning.”
The review is set to conclude at the end of this year.
