LG Electronics Hong Kong (LG) has shifted its Hong Kong PR business from Ogilvy Public Relations to Edelman. The new partnership is effective on 1 July 2016.
While it’s not known how many agencies were involved in the pitch, but Edelman described it as “a competitive pitch”.
“Even as a leading brand in Hong Kong, we’re eager to reach more consumers and bring them the innovative products that make life good,” said Kit Chan, senior manager of brand marketing at LG.
Chan added that the PR firm has demonstrated an “unparalleled understanding” of integrated communications and unique needs of the Hong Kong people.
“The clients we love working with are the ones that give us the best stories to tell. LG’s products, innovation and technology let us bring the best out of our creative, digital and media people,” said Adrian Warr, managing director of Edelman Hong Kong.
The agency will partner with LG to support its campaigns across all business units.
